Job Description

• We seek a person passionately committed to a sustainable energy future who will help deliver Fluence India Storage Projects 

• This role shall be accountable for ensuring that all project operations (EPC & CORE) and support service functions meet the HSEQ Regulatory, Client, and Fluence India requirements. 

• They shall provide timely and accurate subject matter guidance on HSEQ opportunities and challenges and work with operations and project teams for timely and effective resolutions. 

• They shall report as required on area of accountability HSEQ performance and monitor and maintain integrated management systems and Fluence India requirements. 

• This position provides leadership and oversight for area of accountability operations and will coordinate with upstream and downstream Fluence India and or APAC HSEQ teams and or as directed by the business. 

• This position will require a moderate level of travel depending on the projects pipeline. 

• This position will report to Engineering Head. 


Responsibilities:

• Champion Vision, Mission, Objectives, Goals, and initiatives aligned to Fluence India strategy, establish and drive the creation of strategic roadmaps on HSEQ for execution and delivery of the company’s short and long terms strategic and operational goals.

• Develop, monitor, and maintain corporate & operational HSEQ systems and support project documentation / record management.

• Develop, implement, monitor, and enforce Fluence India safety rules and SQ systems and processes across operations.

• Review, analyze and report HSEQ operational performance for area of accountability to Fluence India Management

• Lead, facilitate, monitor, analyze, review, and report serious HSEQ incidents investigations and develop / review

causal and root cause factors.

• Monitor and report on status of corrective and preventative actions within Fluence India.

• Provide support, guidance, and oversight on operational HSEQ opportunities and challenges.

• Review and approve area of accountability / project HSEQ plans, procedures and processes as required.

• Conduct and report on project assurance and governance requirements

• Participate and review balance of plant contractor performance.

• Develop and maintain internal and external key stakeholder relationships.

• Develop, implement, impart and monitor HSEQ training programs. Developing organizational HSEQ internal competencies for achieving First time Right.

• Monitor and maintain legal, risk, environmental and compliance registers as applicable to area of operation.

• Lead, develop, mentor, coach, and direct HSEQ team as necessary. Conduct and participate in performance review processes. Development of business goals and HSEQ scorecards at the corporate level including key performance metrics, targets, and initiatives.

• Communicate with India Fluence operations as necessary regarding proposed changes in legislative, regulatory, client.

• Develop, implement, lead, conduct and participate in project leadership activities (safety walks, inspections, engagement, and observations etc.).

• Monitor and report on injured workers’ status and develop return to work plans as necessary.

• Monitor operational resources as necessary to deliver operational resources to support projects.

• Monitor and manage area of accountability HSEQ budget. 

Qualifications:

• BE/BTECH -Electrical/Electronics

• 12-15 years’ experience in energy sector preferably in HSEQ roles or complimentary sectors (industrial, O&G, manufacturing)

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and database management

• Advanced investigative skillset with proven experience in causation investigation models

• Advanced communication, report writing, presentation and key stakeholder management skillset.

• Advanced investigative / incident / trend analytical skillset

• Lead auditor (9001, 45001 / 4801, 14001 management systems)

• Comprehensive knowledge of OHS / WHS, E legislations within area of accountability.
